All the Rescue dogs will be entrusted spayed/neutered and we will do controls during all the life of the dog.

The choice to have a rescue is not a way to have a purebreed dog for free but a sign of a heart full of love for a not so lucky a often not so easy dog.

We will not answer to people which requests us puppies or adults without spaying/neutering.

About the Lupavaro Rescue Center Italia

We are Luigi Panico and Valeria Rocco, many know us simply as "Lupavaro" because of our website. I hereby want to thank from the deep of our heart, the President of CPLI Mr Nicola Caricaterra to have formalized our commitment Rescue Center in Italy for the Italian Greyhound.
The site Lupavaro wants to be a square for people like us who love the Italian Greyhound or simply for those who are intrigued and would like to approach this wonderful breed. Our site leads us to have contact with many people around the world who already have a PLI, others who would like to have one, and someone who can no longer keep their PLI. We are also in continuous contact with rescue groups and animals over that with many breeders of northern Europe often reported instances of PLI in need
Why the need for a Rescue Center?
It sometimes happens that a PLI return to the breeder who needs to find a new home for the little one, it can happen to see IGs, who begin an odyssey so passed from hand to hand because they are not protected by anyone; also happened that an IG is finished in a bad place at a so-called puppy Mill.........
Fortunately we managed to "liberate" the dog in question and rely him in the loving hands of a new family. For some time we operate in the most absolute discretion to protect dogs, ex-owners and breeders who prefer not to make publicly available the custody of their dog.
So this is our concept of Rescue: PLI in need to accommodate to people we trust. We naturally give all our love to the dog in question that will live as all our dogs in our home and in the case of dogs particularly distressed by major trauma we first begin a course of psychological and then give him to a new family. We already have a list of trustworthy people that we have personally checked one by one and we also have a list of people who did not issue a PLI, not so much because of a bad impression given to us but simply because there are also people who has deserved better than another breed.....
Often there is no need to keep the dog in question in our home ma simply we make a "bridge" between the owner and the people of our adoption list, in the case of not so urgent requests this is a solution too.
